Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after someone broke into a home on Maryknoll Road in Chatham through the laundry room window.

Police said the break-in took place sometime between October 29 and October 30, adding that whoever broke in took off with about $5,000 worth of property.

Front licence plate reported stolen

Police are asking for the public's help to track down a licence plate that was reported stolen from a pickup truck in Wheatley.

Officers said they received the call on Monday, adding that it's believed the licence plate was taken from the vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on Erie Street South.

Anyone who may have seen something is asked to contact police.
