CK police looking for 'suspicious' driver

Chatham-Kent police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a suspicious vehicle that was seen in Wallaceburg earlier this week.

Police said they received a report of a man on Thomas Avenue who appeared to be talking to children as they left school on Wednesday around 3 p.m., adding at no time did the man leave his gold Dodge Caravan.

Public Information Officer Constable Renee Cowell said the incident remains under investigation and serves as a good reminder for parents to talk to their children about personal safety.

Anyone with information that may help police identify this man or vehicle is asked to contact Constable Nicole Letourneau at nicolele@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 mailbox #87057. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
