Tilbury Auto Mall set to spook with drive-thru experiences

Dealerships with the Tilbury Auto Mall are turning their service bays into drive-thru Halloween experiences on October 30.

There will be three unique routes for visitors to enjoy.

The two scary routes will include the Mummy’s Tomb at Tilbury Chrysler and the Mad Scientist’s Laboratory at Lally Ford.

There will also be a toddler-friendly route at Lally Chevrolet that will include superheroes and cartoon characters.

"Once again we’re going to have contactless trick or treating stops at each dealership," said Tilbury Chrysler President Tom Mayhew. "The kids don’t even have to get out of their vehicle."

According to Vice President Adam Lally, this year will be completely different from last year’s event, which drew more than 1,200 visitors.

"Our set and prop designer has been spending a lot of time working on spooky displays," said Lally. "It's going to be fun."

He said there will be monsters and mummies roaming the wait lines on the north side of the adventure at Lally Ford and Tilbury Chrysler.

However, there will be nothing scary on the south side at Lally Chevrolet.

“There’s been a lot of new volunteers come forward to play characters this year,” said set designer Gerry Harvieux.

The event is free and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m on October 30.

The Tilbury Auto Mall will be collecting non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products that night for the Tilbury Food Bank if visitors wish to make a donation.

Costumes are encouraged but not required.
