Man charged after police respond to 911 hang-up call

A 34-year-old man is facing charges after a hang-up 911 call led police to an address in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the unspecified address on Friday and located a man who had been previously released from police custody on bail. Police officials said the man's bail conditions indicated that the man was not allowed to attend that address and not to communicate with another individual who was also present when police arrived.

The man was searched by officers who seized suspected methamphetamine.

As a result, a 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order and possession of methamphetamine.
