Transport Truck reported stolen

Police are looking for a stolen transport truck that was taken from a business on Richmond Street in Chatham.

A white 2016 Volvo VVN transport truck was taken around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officers said the truck has blue numbers on the front right and left side that read 2115. The truck was last seen with Ontario licence plates PA32432

Break-in reported at Dresden Raceway

About $300 worth of alcoholic beverages have been stolen from the Dresden Raceway.

Police said over the past few days, unknown parties broke into the business.

Alleged impaired driver charged

A 24-year-old man from Raleigh Township is accused of driving while impaired.

Chatham-Kent police were called about a collision Friday night in the area of Talbot Trail near Four Rod Road. The driver was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and was taken to police headquarters for breath tests.

As a result, he was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He has a future court date scheduled for September 29.

Man accused of failing to comply

A Blenheim man told to stay away from a specific residence was allegedly caught there Friday night, throwing rocks at a window.

Police said the 28-year-old was given several conditions on July 30, one of which was to not attend a certain address. He was reportedly found outside of the residence and later charged with one count of failing to comply with his release conditions.
