Thieves steal $2,000 worth of belongings from Chatham home 

Chatham-Kent police are looking for information after a residence on West Street in Chatham was broken into over the past week.

Police said the suspects removed approximately $2,000 worth of jewelry, tools, and a computer.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Kai Kraft at 519-436-6600, mailbox number, 87378. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Two arrests on outstanding warrants 

An officer on patrol located a 30-year-old Chatham man who was wanted by Chatham-Kent police on Bloomfield Road.

Police said the man was wanted for outstanding warrants including possession of a weapon, mischief, assault with a weapon, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

He was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Another officer on patrol located a female on Chestnut Drive in Wallaceburg that was currently wanted by Chatham-Kent police for failing to attend court.

The 40-year-old Walpole Island female was arrested and later released with a future court date.
