Man arrested during break and enter

 A 35-year-old man was arrested after Chatham-Kent police responded to a break and enter at a commercial location Friday.

Police said the suspect had accessed a secured storage area and had been seen by security.  Several officers attended the area and the man was located.

Police searched the suspect and found stolen property from a previously reported break and enter

The man was released from custody with a pending court date.

Man facing drug, weapons charges following threat complaint

A 25-year-old man is facing drug possession and firearm charges after Chatham-Kent police responded to dispute in Wallceburg Friday.

Police said the complainant was worried about the suspect causing him harm.  The two males were known to each other.

Police arrived and located the suspect in his vehicle and placed the man was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.

Officers searched the vehicle and located suspected Methamphetamine and a prohibited device.

The accused is charged with possession of CDSA and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

Police also charged a 23-year-old female passenger with drug possession.

Man driving with deployed air bag charged with impaired

 A 23-year-old man driving with a deployed air bag has been charged with impaired driving.

On Friday, police were contacted about a pickup truck that was spotted driving in a ditch and then back onto a roadway with a deployed air bag.

Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for impaired.  The accused was taken into custody and subsequently failed his breath tests.
