Homeowners interrupt break and enter

The homeowners at a residence on Murray Street in Wallaceburg interrupted suspects while trying to break in on Tuesday night.

Police said the suspects fled in a vehicle that was later found abandoned and towed.

Video surveillance aids in police making an arrest 

A 34-year-old man has been arrested after breaking into a business on Library Lane in Chatham, Wednesday morning.

Police said they were able to identify the suspect after video surveillance footage caught the man stealing several electronics.

The man was arrested, charged and released with a future court date on August 10, 2021.

Property damaged after suspects fail to steal a truck

Chatham-Kent police are looking for suspects who damaged property while trying to steal a truck at a business compound on Seventh Line in Chatham.

Police said the suspects left the property after driving into a fence while trying to steal a truck.

Driver charged seven times in past 10 months 

A motorcycle driver who is known to police has been charged seven times in the past 10 months for driving under suspension.

The man was arrested after police stopped him while driving his motorcycle on Duncan Street in Wallaceburg.

The man was held for bail.
