Man accused of assaulting neighbours

A 45-year-old Chatham man is facing a pair of assault charges after an incident involving two of his neighbours.

Chatham-Kent police said they were called to investigate the complaint on Fifth Street in Chatham Sunday afternoon, adding that their investigation showed the man had assaulted two of his neighbours.

As a result, he was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. He was later released with a future court date.

Three arrests on outstanding warrants

Chatham-Kent police have rounded up three more people who were on their wanted list for missing their court dates.

A 27-year-old Chatham woman who was wanted for failing to attend court was arrested Sunday morning while police were following up on a disturbance complaint.

A 44-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was also wanted for skipping out on court was arrested Sunday afternoon while police were responding to a call for service in Wallaceburg.

And a 26-year-old Ridgetown man who allegedly skipped his court date was arrested in Ridgetown Sunday afternoon while police were responding to a family dispute.

All three of the accused were later released with future court dates.

Police looking for brick tosser

If you know who threw a brick through the window of a residence on Sandys Street South in Chatham, police would like to hear from you.

CK police said it happened at around 5 a.m. Sunday.
