Arrest made after Chatham disturbance 

A man will have to answer to a charge after allegedly causing a disturbance in Chatham.

On Saturday afternoon, officers responded to the area of Lansdowne Avenue after getting reports that a man in the area was yelling.

Police attended the scene and located the man. Through investigation, the man was found to be causing a disturbance.

The 33-year-old was charged accordingly and transported to police headquarters. He was held for booking and eventually released with a future court date.

Theft at Chatham business

A man has a future court date after police got a shoplifting complaint in Chatham.

On Saturday morning, officers responded to a business on Park Avenue West after getting a report that a man allegedly hid items in his jacket and left the store with no intention of paying for them.

The 31-year-old was arrested for theft and possession under $5,000 and was taken to police headquarters.

After being booked, he was given a future court date and released.

Man charged after domestic dispute 

A man is facing a pair of charges after a domestic incident in Chatham.

On Saturday night, officers responded to a residence on Mary Street for a possible domestic dispute. Through investigation, a 25-year-old man was arrested for assault and mischief.

He was transported to police headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date.

Pair of warrant arrests 

Two people are facing charges after a pair of separate warrant arrests in Chatham.

On Saturday morning, an officer on general patrol observed a woman on King Street East who was known to be wanted on a warrant for failing to comply with her release order.

The 41-year-old was arrested as a result and taken to police headquarters. She was eventually released with a future court date.

On Sunday morning, an officer on general patrol spotted a 27-year-old woman on King Street who was known to be wanted on several outstanding warrants for failing to attend court.

The woman was arrested on strength of the warrants, held in police custody and later released with a future court date.
