BREAKING: Police arrest remaining Chatham shooting suspects

The last two suspects wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for attempted murder following a shooting in Chatham have been arrested in Thunder Bay.

Chatham-Kent police said 19-year-old Terry St. Hill and a 17-year-old male, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were taken into custody in Thunder Bay on Thursday. Both men have been charged with three counts of attempted murder and will remain behind bars, waiting for a bail hearing in Thunder Bay.

The shooting took place on Harvey Street in Chatham on January 26, 2021, around 6 p.m. Two people were wounded and were taken to the hospital for medical attention with non-life-threatening injuries. A third person was also shot at but was not wounded. A dog was shot and killed during the incident.

Three other suspects were found and arrested within days of the shooting. They are all out on bail. Another 17-year-old male from Cambridge, whose name is also protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, Rylie Dejonge-Vandusen, 19, of London, and Brianna Gardiner, 18, of Cambridge are also charged with three counts of attempted murder.

Police said the shooting was targeted.
