Two men arrested on strength of warrants

A 51-year-old man has been arrested on the strength of a warrant.

On Friday, April 30, a general patrol officer in Chatham located a man in the area of Adelaide Street who was known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend.

The man was arrested, and later released with a future court date.

Also on Friday, a general patrol officer located a man in the area of Park Street who was known to be wanted on several endorsed warrants for theft and failing to comply with his Probation.

The 38-year-old man was arrested, taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Jewelry, food, $1,275 removed from home

An investigation is ongoing following a break and enter at a home on Queen Street in Chatham.

Sometime over the last three days, police said an unknown person broke into the home through the main door. Police said that the individual took jewelry, food and money valuing about $1,275.

There are currently no suspects.
