Man arrested for breaching probation with unwanted visit

A 35-year-old Chatham man who was already wanted by police is in more trouble with the law after he allegedly showed up at a local woman's house even though he had been ordered to stay away from her.

Police said the man -- who was wanted on an outstanding warrant -- attended the woman's home late Tuesday afternoon, even though two of his probation orders required him to stop communicating with her and to stay at least 100 meters away from her residence.

Officers said the woman asked the man to leave, and he did -- police managed to catch up with him Tuesday night and arrested him.
