Tools stolen from Dresden Lawn Bowling Club

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after someone broke into the Dresden Lawn Bowling Club on Sydenham Street in Dresden and took off with various tools.

Officers said it's believed the break-in took place sometime between April 8, 2021 and April 16, 2021, adding that the tools that were stolen are worth about $2,000 in total.

Pickup truck reported stolen in Chatham Township

Chatham-Kent police are asking you to keep an eye out for a white 2014 Ford F-150 King Ranch pickup truck that was reported stolen from a residence on Prince Albert Road earlier this week.

Police said it was taken sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

Two people accused of shoplifting from Chatham grocery store

A 48-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman are both facing charges after they allegedly shoplifted from the same store in Chatham less than an hour apart Monday night.

Police said they were called to the Real Canadian Superstore for the first shoplifting complaint at around 8:30 p.m. Monday and arrested a 48-year-old Chatham woman in connection with the case.

About half an hour later, while police were still at the store, the officer at the scene was notified of a second shoplifting incident. As a result, a 27-year-old Chatham woman was also arrested.

Both of the accused were charged with theft and possession of property obtained by crime.

They were both later released with conditions and a future court date.

Wanted woman arrested during traffic stop

A 35-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was already wanted by police for violating her released conditions is in more trouble now after officers allegedly spotted her out past her curfew.

Chatham-Kent police said an officer on general patrol caught up with the woman -- who was bound by a daily curfew of 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. -- at around 10:30 p.m. Monday during a traffic stop on Garnet Street in Wallaceburg.

Police said the woman was arrested, charged, and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
