Chatham woman celebrates lotto win with store owner
A Chatham mother of three has won $100,000 with an instant lotto ticket.
Lola Demars said she played an Instant Payline Multiplier game in her car and realized she was a winner right away. However, she held off on celebrating for a couple of days.
“I waited two days before going to the store because I wanted to wait until the store owner was there to experience the win together,” she said.
The 40-year-old administrative assistant said she plans to use the winnings to pay off student loans, invest, and spend some on her home.
“I told my children they can all redecorate their rooms,” she said. “This is unbelievable!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Lacroix Variety in Chatham.
