Break and enters in CK 

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a pair of break and enters across the municipality over the past 24 hours.

On Sheldon Avenue in Chatham, unknown suspects entered an apartment. Once inside, the culprits tossed around personal items in an attempt to look for valuables.

Elsewhere, in Wallaceburg, police were contacted to attend a business on Nelson Street.

The suspects smashed a front door and got inside the business. A search of the building and general area came up negative.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Theft of ATV

Police are appealing to the public for information after an ATV was stolen in Chatham-Kent.

The owner of the ATV noticed two people driving away from his residence on Florence Road. The owner followed the suspects but lost them when they drove into a field on Base Line Road on his ATV.

The theft is currently under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Theft in Chatham 

A man got in trouble with the law after a shoplifting incident in Chatham.

The suspect was seen allegedly concealing items at a local store and leaving without paying.

Police were called and were able to locate the man.

The items were returned to the store and the man was charged under the Trespass to Property Act and released.
