Man charged with impaired driving 

A phone call from a citizen is to thank for getting an allegedly drunk driver off of the roads in Chatham.

Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, police received a call about a suspected impaired driver on St. Clair Street.

The vehicle was located and police believed the man was driving under the influence of alcohol.

As a result, officers arrested the driver and he was taken to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 62-year-old Blenheim man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was eventually released from custody with a future court date.

Female arrested for breach of peace

Around 8 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to an address on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg for reports of a family dispute.

A 45-year-old woman was arrested for breach of the peace and taken to police headquarters, where she was later released from custody.

Theft in Tilbury 

Police are hoping the public can give them some information about a theft in Tilbury.

On Saturday morning, police were called to an address on Queens Line for a break and enter.

Unknown suspects entered the garage and stole around $500 worth of tools.
