Warrant arrests
Police in Chatham-Kent were able to nab two people on their wanted list over the past 24 hours.
While on general patrol near Erieau Road, an officer initiated a traffic stop on Middle Line. While speaking to the driver, the officer learned that he was wanted on multiple warrants.
As a result, the 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested, transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
Elsewhere, an officer on general patrol in Chatham noticed a man walking down McNaughton Avenue who was well known to police.
The 44-year-old man was confirmed to be wanted on multiple warrants and was arrested. He was taken to police headquarters and kept in custody for a bail hearing.
Break and enter at Wallaceburg store
Police are appealing to the public for information after a break and enter in Wallaceburg.
Officers were called to McNaughton Avenue around 7 a.m. on Saturday after someone broke into the Shoppers Drug Mart.
According to police, an unknown suspect stole around $5,000 worth of electronics.

Security camera registry
Chatham-Kent police are reminding residents that they can register their home security cameras.
This registry lets community members voluntarily identify their residential video surveillance location through a secure and confidential online form located on the Chatham-Kent Police Service website.
Identified addresses will be mapped on a database of surveillance camera locations for officers to quickly direct resources when investigating criminal offences in your neighbourhood.
