Man charged with domestic offence 

A man will have to answer to charges after a domestic dispute in Chatham.

According to police, officers responded to Inshes Avenue on Friday. Through investigation, police learned that the man allegedly assaulted his ex-common law partner. He was also under court conditions not to be at the property.

As a result, the 26-year-old was arrested for assault and failing to comply with court conditions. He was held for a bail hearing.

Break and enter in Chatham

Police are looking for information from the public after a trailer was broken into in Chatham.

On Friday, officers responded to a break and enter in the Colborne Street area. According to police, a utility trailer on the property was broken into and $2,000 worth of tools were stolen.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call police.

Stolen vehicles recovered

Two vehicles stolen from the Wallaceburg area have been returned to their rightful owners.

Around 10 a.m. on Friday, police attended the Thomas Avenue area of Wallaceburg and located a stolen Suzuki ATV. The owner of the vehicle was notified so he could retrieve his property.

Then around 11:45 a.m., officers went to Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg where a stolen Chevrolet Cruz was located.

The owner of the car was notified so he could retrieve his property. The investigation is ongoing.
