Pair of break and enters

Police in Chatham-Kent are investigating after two separate break and enters over the last 24 hours.

Around 4 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a break-in on Adelaide Street South in Chatham.

According to police, jewellery and gift cards were stolen from a safe that the suspects broke open,

Elsewhere, around 4 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a break and enter on Spence Line in Muirkirk.

The suspects were observed to be operating a white van.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call police.

Sexual assault suspect

A man will have to answer to charges after an arrest.

Around 9 p.m. Saturday, Chatham-Kent police arrested a man who was wanted for multiple accounts of sexual assault, sexual interference and inviting to sexual touching.

He was charged accordingly and eventually released with a future court date.

Arrest in Chatham 

While on general patrol in Chatham early Saturday morning, officers located a man on Riverview Drive.

According to police, the 24-year-old was found to be breaching his probation and was arrested.

The man was taken to the police station and eventually released with a future court date.
