Youth charged with assault at school
A 16-year-old Chatham youth has been charged after an incident that took place at a local high school in Chatham.
Police said they arrested the teen after responding to an assault complaint on Wednesday.
He was charged with assault and later released to a parent with a future court date.

Breaching curfew on a bike ride
A 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply with his release conditions after he was allegedly spotted out past his curfew on a late-night bike ride.
Police said an officer on general patrol spotted the man on his bicycle on St. Clair Street near Gregory Drive in Chatham late Wednesday night.
Officers said he was arrested because he was out past his court-imposed curfew of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
He was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Mustang with Malibu plates
A 46-year-old Walpole Island man is facing charges after he was pulled over in Wallaceburg for having the wrong license plates on his vehicle.
Police said an officer on general patrol stopped the man after running a check on the license plates of a black Ford Mustang Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the plates were registered to a grey Chevrolet Malibu.
Further investigation showed that the driver didn't have proper insurance, either.
The accused was charged with driving without insurance and using unauthorized license plates. He has a future court date now and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Charges laid after crashes
Two drivers are facing charges in connection with a pair of collisions that took place on Wednesday.
Police said in the first case, a driver was charged with following too closely in connection with a two-vehicle crash on Selton Line near Victoria Road Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported and the damage was estimated at $18,000.
In the second case, a 24-year-old Muirkirk man was charged with making an unsafe turn in after a two-vehicle collision on Keil Drive near Heritage Road in Chatham Wednesday night.
No injuries were reported in that case, either. The damage caused by the second collision was estimated at $8,000.
