CK stays in Yellow Level as active cases of COVID-19 drop

While some regions like Windsor-Essex are moving up in the province's COVID-19 Response Framework, Chatham-Kent is staying at the Yellow-Protect Level.

The Yellow Level has strengthened measures to limit further transmission of the virus. The province made that announcement on Friday afternoon.

CK Public Health reported one new case on Friday and 11 recovered individuals to bring the number of active cases down to 18. There are still no local cases in the Chatham hospital. Chatham-Kent still has three workplace outbreaks and one school outbreak at Winston Churchill Public School in Chatham but Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby said those should be cleared up soon.

Windsor-Essex is moving from Orange-Restrict to Red-Control as of Monday. The health unit in Windsor-Essex reported 51 new cases on Friday.
