Police respond to pair of collisions 

Police in Chatham-Kent responded to two separate collisions on Friday.

On Queen Street, a motorist struck a person riding a bicycle while making a turn.

The cyclist was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic for turning not in safety and issued a provincial offence notice.

Elsewhere,  officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Pain Court Line.  The vehicle left the roadway, rolling into a ditch and landing on its roof.

The driver and passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. There was approximately $10,000 in damages.

Broken window leads to arrest 

On October 7, a man threw a rock through a window on King Street in Chatham. The suspect was captured on video surveillance and police were able to identify him.

While on general patrol on Friday, officers located the suspect and arrested him.

The 37-year-old Chatham man was transported to police headquarters and released with a future court date.
