Two more alleged drug dealers have been arrested in Chatham-Kent.
Police said members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Unit made the arrests while they were executing a search warrant at a residence on Wellington Street East in Chatham on Thursday.
Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they saw a man leaving the home in a vehicle. They pulled him over, arrested him, and allegedly found some suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, digital scales and a large amount of cash in his possession.
Inside the home, officers arrested a woman and found some suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, digital scales, and cash.
Police said in total, they pulled approximately $25,600 worth of suspected drugs from the street during the bust.
As a result of the investigation, 37-year-old Jeremy Swistun of Park Street in Chatham was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
Officers also arrested 36-year-old Ashley Summerfield of Wellington Street East in Chatham and charged her with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. She was later released with a future court date.
