Two new family physicians are being welcomed to the Chatham-Kent community.
The Chatham-Kent Family Health Team announced on Friday that Dr. Jasmine Dhaliwal has begun practicing at the health team's Chatham office and Dr. Andrew Lanz-O’Brien has begun practicing at the Blenheim office.
Dr. Lanz-O’Brien grew up in Blenheim and attended Blenheim District High School. He attended Western/Schulich School of Medicine before completing his residency training in Chatham at Thamesview Family Health and with the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team in Blenheim.
Dr. Dhaliwal is a Mississauga native and completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University. She attended medical school at the University of Alberta for a Master’s of Science in Medical Sciences degree specializing in pediatrics, and also completed her family medicine residency there.
“Chatham has a very welcoming feel and I’m looking forward to being a part of a close-knit community," said Dr. Dhaliwal in a news release. "It’s also fantastic there’s a hospital nearby with a team of great specialists."
Both doctors will be taking over patients from other family physicians in the community and are not able to accept new patients at this time.
