Domestic arrests

Chatham-Kent police responded to several domestic situations on Saturday.

In the morning, officers received information from a third-party that a man had allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend.

Police spoke to the woman at her home in Ridgetown who had a broken elbow.

Officers located the man and placed him under arrest for assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

The 27-year-old Blenheim man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Elsewhere in Dresden on Saturday morning, police responded to a disturbance.

Officers learned that the two men involved had recently separated.

One of the men had allegedly threatened the other man.

As a result, a 22-year-old Chatham man was arrested for uttering threats. He was taken into custody and later released with a future court date.

Then on Saturday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at a Tim Hortons in Chatham.

Officers learned that the man and woman involved had been separated for a year.

The woman had accused the man of assault and as a result, the 63-year-old was arrested.

He was taken into custody and eventually released with a future court date.
