Curbside pickup expands to additional CK libraries

Two more Chatham-Kent library branches are now offering curbside service.

The Chatham-Kent Public Library (CKPL) started offering the service at its Ridgetown and Tilbury branches on Tuesday while library buildings remain closed due to the pandemic.

Pickup is available outside the branch by appointment only and can be booked online. Anyone without internet access can also call the CKPL at 519-354-2940 for more information.

Curbside service was launched by the CKPL at the Chatham branch on June 16. Since then, over 3,000 library materials have been picked up. On June 26 the service was expanded to the Wallaceburg Branch

"The health and safety of the library team and the public is important to us, so precautions are in practice to keep everyone safe," the CKPL said in a release. "If you are unwell, CKPL asks that you cancel your appointment and keep library materials at home for a two-week period. Library fines are not being charged during curbside service."

More information on how to place holds on library materials and book appointment timeslots is available on CKPL's social media accounts and website

CKPL’s virtual library continues to be available any time as well.
