Weapons charge laid after threats

One person is in trouble with the law after allegedly threatening to stab someone early Thursday morning.

Police said officers were called to Snow Avenue in Blenheim around 2:23 a.m., after one man reportedly threatened another.

One of them was arrested for weapons dangerous, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon.

Wanted man found on July 1st

A man wanted on several outstanding warrants spent at least part of Canada Day in handcuffs.

He was wanted for a bail violation and mischief the previous day. Police said he was found on McNaughton Avenue East in Chatham on Wednesday.

He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Men on house arrest allegedly violate conditions

A couple of men accused of breaking their bail conditions have been arrested.

A Chatham man on house arrest was caught in violation of his bail after a collision happened on Pain Court Line. Considering he was the person behind the wheel, he was arrested and charged for breach of recognizance. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

In a separate case, another man under house arrest was reportedly caught near McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. Police said the man was found after they received a call about a suspicious person in the area. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Kayaks reported stolen

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after two kayaks were stolen from a fenced-in area.

Police said sometime overnight, someone cut a hole in a fence on Dover Street in Chatham and stole the kayaks.
