Curious kids get to question local cops

If you know a kid who has a question about law enforcement, Chatham-Kent police would like to hear from you.

A release from the local force said it is not able to run the annual "Camp Sirens" this year because of COVID-19 restrictions, so it's launching a new initiative called "Curious Kids Question Cops."

Police said, "officers are usually the ones asking the questions, so now we're reversing the roles."

If you know a child that has a police-related question, you're asked to record it and email it to Constable Renee Cowell at ckpsmedia@gmail.com until July 17, 2020.

You're asked to keep the questions appropriate and respectful while also limiting video submissions to 20 seconds or less.

Police said the questions and replies will be posted on the CKPS social media platforms as well.
