Dock disturbance leads to arrest 

Complaints about a disturbance at Shrewsbury Dock led to one man being arrested.

It started on Saturday evening when officers responded to reports of a vessel causing a disturbance at the dock. The boat was hooked up to a vehicle and fled the scene.

The vehicle and its occupants were located and a traffic stop was executed. The officer began investigating and determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

As a result, the 19-year-old man from Charing Cross was arrested for impaired operation and taken to the police station for a breathalyzer.

Fire in Wallaceburg 

Damage is pegged around $20,000 after a fire in Wallaceburg on Saturday afternoon.

Around 12:30 p.m., fire crews responded a structure fire on Elgin Street.

The fire originated in a garbage bin attached to the residence.

The fire department was able to attend the scene and extinguished the fire without incident.

Break and enter in Chatham

Police are asking the public to come forward with information after a break-in on Friday night.

It happened on Baldoon Road in Chatham. Unknown suspects entered a garage and stole a 1999 Red Yamaha ATV with plate marker 1NY28.
