Three arrested on bail violations

Three people in Chatham-Kent have been arrested so far this weekend for allegedly breaching their bail conditions.

On Friday afternoon, police in the area of  Grey Street in Chatham located a woman who was known to be wanted for failing to comply with her release order.

The 36-year-old was arrested, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Then early Saturday morning, an officer on patrol in Chatham located a man in the area of St. Clair Street.

Through investigation, he was found to be breaching his release order. The 48-year-old was arrested for failing to comply with his release order, taken to the police station and eventually released with a future court date.

Also on Saturday morning, a man was located by police on Grand Avenue West.

The 28-year-old was found to be breaching his curfew and was arrested. He was taken into police custody and held for bail.

Police make several arrests for warrants

Police were able to nab multiple people on Friday who were wanted on outstanding warrants.

It started Friday afternoon when an officer in Chatham located a man in the area of King Street and Adelaide Street who was wanted on a warrant for failing to comply with his probation order.

The 38-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters. He was eventually given a future court date and released.

Meanwhile, another 38-year-old was busted in Chatham on Friday afternoon in the area of St. George Street and St. Patrick Street.

According to police, he was wanted on a warrant for multiple theft and possession charges and failing to comply with undertaking. He was arrested and after spending some time with police, released with a future court date.

On Friday evening, an officer on patrol in Chatham located a man on Baxter Street who was known to be wanted on a warrant for failing to comply with his release order.

The 34-year-old was arrested and held at police headquarters for bail.

Lastly, an officer on patrol in Blenheim located a man in the area of Victoria Street and Talbot Street E. on Friday evening who was wanted on a committal warrant.

The 27-year-old was arrested and transported to the police station for booking.
