Woman arrested at Chatham business 

Police made an early morning arrest after catching a woman allegedly stealing from a business that she wasn't even supposed to be around.

Around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, officers on general patrol saw a woman at a closed business in Chatham.

According to police, she proceeded to remove two items from the property and was stopped.

After she was identified by officers, it was revealed that she was on previous release conditions to stay away from the business.

The 48-year-old was arrested for bail conditions, theft and possession. She was taken to the police station and held for a bail hearing.

'Suspicious' person arrested 

A man had to spend some time with police after a call from an alert citizen in Wallaceburg.

On Saturday, police received the call about a suspicious person in the Wallace Street area.

When officers arrived, a 26-year-old man was located. He was found to have an outstanding warrant for mischief, theft and arson.

The man, of no fixed address, was arrested on the strength of the warrant and released with several conditions.

Breach of conditions leads to arrest 

A 26-year-old will have to attend court after allegedly being caught with someone he wasn't supposed to be around.

It started on Saturday when police on general patrol in Chatham spotted a man and woman walking together on Tweedsmuir Avenue.

The 26-year-old man was on conditions to stay away from the 25-year-old woman.

As a result, the Chatham man was arrested for breaching his conditions. He was released with a future court date.
