A 26-year-old Chatham man is facing a drug trafficking charge after police found some fentanyl during a traffic stop.
Police said they pulled the vehicle over at around 8 p.m. Wednesday while officers were following up on a complaint about a suspicious vehicle in Chatham.
Police said they saw some drug-related equipment in the vehicle and after searching further, they uncovered five grams of fentanyl, which has an estimated street value of $1,200.
The accused -- 26-year-old Benjamin Delmotte of Thames Street in Chatham -- has been charged and has been released with a future court date.
At this time, none of the charges have been proven in court.
