UPDATE: Self-propelled lawnmower found

Chatham-Kent police have found a red Toro self-propelled lawnmower that was recently reported stolen in Chatham.

Police said someone broke into a locked shed sometime between May 16 and May 19 before taking off with the mower, which is valued at approximately $650. Officers have since managed to find the stolen mower -- but there is no word yet on whether any arrests were made in connection with the case.

Chatham man arrested twice in less than a week

It took less than seven days for a 30-year-old Chatham man to find his way back into police custody.

Officers said the man was released from custody on May 13 with several conditions, one of which was that he was not supposed to communicate with a specific female.

However, police said they found him with her on May 19, so he was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

The accused was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Suspicious person call leads to arrest

A 29-year-old Chatham woman has been arrested and charged with failing to comply with her release conditions after allegedly contacting a man she was supposed to stay away from.

Police said they found the woman with that man after getting a call about a suspicious male and female together.

The accused was taken into custody and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.
