CK police briefs – Saturday, March 21, 2020

Business break and enter in Wallaceburg

Sometime between 2:30 p.m. on March 19 and 10:30 a.m. on March 20, unknown suspects entered a business through a south side window.

The suspects allegedly stole a large duffle bag containing martial arts equipment valued at $400.

Wanted man found in residential bushes

Police were called to the area of Queensway Drive Friday afternoon in regards to a suspicious male in the bushes.

Officers located the suspect and a query revealed the man had an outstanding warrant for Failing to Attend court on an 11 count firearms related incident.

The wanted male was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was lodged pending a bail hearing.

 

Male facing assault with a weapon charge following domestic disturbance 

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress in Tilbury on Friday.

Upon arrival, the suspect was not on the scene and a victim had sustained injuries from an assault. Police say the house also had extensive damage that was caused by the accused.

While police interviewed the victim, the accused showed up and was arrested. The male is charged with assault with a weapon, mischief under $5000 and breach of 810 recognizance.

The male was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was later released on a Form 10 with a future court date.

 

Man arrested on theft charges

During the early morning hours on Saturday, Police located a male who was walking on Queen Street in Wallaceburg.

The man was later determined to be the subject of a warrant for theft and possession under $5000.

The accused was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on a Form 10 with a future court date.
