The second arrest was made by police in St. Thomas.

A 34-year-old man who was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions and failing to attend court was arrested in St. Thomas late Wednesday afternoon and taken back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes. He was also taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

The third and fourth arrests were made at around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Police said officers were out on McNaughton Avenue and found a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman who were both wanted on several outstanding warrants. They were both taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Two speeders stopped by CK OPP

Chatham-Kent OPP have also been keeping an eye out for motorists who are moving a little too quickly.

OPP said an officer on patrol along Highway 401 near the Orford Road exit spotted a vehicle that looked like it was going too fast at around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. That same vehicle was reportedly clocked on radar going "well in excess" of the posted 100 km/h speed limit in that zone.

As a result, a 22-year-old North York resident was charged with racing a motor vehicle.

In the second case, OPP said an officer on patrol along Highway 40 north of Chatham at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday noticed a vehicle that appeared to be speeding and later clocked it going "well in excess" of the posted 80 km/h limit in that zone.

A 30-year-old Southwold resident was charged with racing a motor vehicle in connection with the investigation.

In both cases, the driver's licenses and vehicles were taken away for seven days.
