Chatham-Kent police are coming off a busy night of monitoring local roadways on Super Bowl Sunday.
Officers conducted RIDE checkpoints and general patrols, something residents were made aware of in a reminder to "plan ahead".

Police said a couple of people are facing impaired driving charges following two separate collisions.
Officers were called to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Lindsey Street and St. George Street in Dresden, around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Police said an 18-year-old Chatham woman was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. She has a court date set for Valentine's Day.
A 43-year-old Chatham woman is accused of being impaired after her vehicle rear-ended another. Police said the other vehicle was slowing down and making room for an emergency vehicle when it was hit from behind around 11:30 p.m. The 43-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters for breath tests, which resulted in a charge and future court date.
Aside from impaired driving charges being laid, officers also spotted some traffic violations. During Sunday's RIDE check, officers stopped 450 vehicles and conducted 13 roadside tests.
Two drivers were slapped with three-day license suspensions and eight drivers were charged with Highway Traffic Act violations.
Officers are further reminding drivers that RIDE checks are done throughout the year.
