Nationals crush Maroons 11-4

The Chatham Maroons were defeated by the London Nationals 11-4 on Sunday.

The Nationals were first to score with a goal shot by Josh LeBlanc followed by a goal from Henry Scott. Chatham's Zach Power answered with a goal 4:35 into the frame. Michael Boushy and Logan Mailloux added another two points for the Nationals.

Leblanc scored again 2:49 into the second period which was quickly followed by a goal from London's Adam Weiner. Dallas Maurovic then scored for the Maroons. The Nationals scored four consecutive goals shot by Cohen Kiteley - who scored a powerplay goal, Cameron Krupa, Billy Faragher and Henry Scott.

The third period saw two more goals for Chatham shot by Cam Symons and Evan Wells.  Krupa scored the final goal for the Nationals 19:38 into the frame.

Maroons goalie Kevin Linker saved 22 out of 28 shots on net. Bryce Walcarius saved 15 out of 20 shots on net.

The Maroons will face-off against the St. Marys Lincolns on Friday. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
