Man arrested after allegedly stealing gas

A 44-year-old man is facing a theft charge after police say he stole gas.

Around 9 a.m. Friday, they got the complaint about $75 worth of gasoline stolen from a Wallaceburg gas station.

Police arrived and were able to find the man and the vehicle. He was arrested for theft under $5,000.

While investigating, police also determined that he was wanted for various other offences. He was taken to the police station and held for a bail hearing.

Man arrested on warrant

Police were able to nab a man wanted on a mischief warrant.

He was wanted after allegedly causing damage to windows on a Chatham apartment building. Police located him late Friday morning and arrested him on the mischief under $5,000 warrant.

The man was taken into police custody and eventually released with a future court date.

"Suspicious" woman arrested on warrant

A call about a suspicious person resulted in police crossing a name off their wanted list.

On Thursday, cops got a complaint about a suspicious person in the area of Duncan Street in Wallaceburg. They were able to find the woman and determined that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court, theft and possession of property obtained by crime.

She was arrested, taken to the police station and held in custody for a bail hearing.
