Damage is around $300,000 after a house fire Wednesday morning in Merlin.
Crews were called to 212 Erie St. South shortly before 11 a.m. for reports of a structure fire. When they arrived at the scene, heavy smoke and flames were coming from the home and the garage.
High winds are being blamed for the fire also extending to the neighbouring home.
Stations from Raleigh North, Raleigh South and Merlin all assisted in battling the blaze. There were no injuries and the cause is currently undetermined.
