Cops search for beehives

Police are asking the public for tips after someone stole over a dozen beehives.

The hives were taken between the beginning of November and December 28 from a property off of  3rd Concession Line in Wheatley.

Seven of the beehives are three stories tall and the other six are two stories tall.

Man charged with impaired 

A 38-year-old Tilbury is in trouble with the law after allegedly getting behind the wheel after drinking.

Around midnight Sunday, an officer came across a two-vehicle collision on Queen’s Line near Bonneau Line in Tilbury. The officer believed one the drivers had been operating the vehicle while under the influence and arrested him.

The man was taken to the police station for a breathalyzer. As a result, he was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released with a future court date.
