CKHA recognizes hundreds for their service milestones

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is getting ready to honour hundreds of people for their years of service at the hospital.

This year's Recognition Banquet, hosted by Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA), will be held on Thursday. It recognizes employees, volunteers and physicians celebrating service milestones.

"CKHA's annual Recognition Banquet provides a wonderful opportunity to thank our valued staff, volunteers and physicians for their ongoing commitment to health care in Chatham and Rural Kent," said Lisa Northcott, vice president, people and chief nursing executive. "Whether our staff are celebrating five years with CKHA or their retirement, we are proud and appreciative of their commitment to providing safe, quality Patient and Family Centred Care to our patients, families and community."

Just under 300 people will be recognized for their service including Deborah Ancocik, a woman being recognized for reaching her 50-year milestone. In addition, three people will be celebrated for 45 years of service while seven people are being honoured for reaching 40 years of service with the CKHA.

Guests of honour also include 105 five-year, 42 ten-year, 10 fifteen-year, 25 twenty-year, 13 twenty-five-year, 24 thirty-year and 16 35-year recipients. The CKHA will also pay tribute to 50 retirees.

The Annual Alliance Awards of Excellence, as well as the Compassionate Caregiver Award of Distinction, will also be presented during the Recognition Banquet this year. The banquet will take place on November 21 at Club Lentinas in Chatham.
