Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 30-year-old Chatham man who's accused of violating his release conditions.

Police said the man was released from custody back in May with several conditions, one of which required him to obey a daily curfew of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

An officer on general patrol Sunday night allegedly spotted the man walking on Murray Street in Chatham at around 11:30 p.m., so the man was arrested and charged with failing to comply. He was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
