Nationals outpace Maroons 10-6

The Chatham Maroons suffered their third straight defeat in a 10-6 loss to the London Nationals on Wednesday.

The Nationals were on the board first with two goals in just over four minutes, before Dallas Maurovic scored for Chatham 8:27 into the first period. However, London scored another two to take a 4-1 lead heading into the second.

The Nationals once again score two back-to-back goals in the first four minutes of the frame.  Griffin Robinson, Dallas Anderson and Brett Fisher each scored to reduce Chatham's deficit to 6-4, but London responded with three goals of their own in just over five minutes.

Braedon Caetano added another for the Maroons 5:44 into the third, but the Nationals wouldn't let up and scored their tenth goal of the night with 11:01 left to play. Ryan McKim scored one last goal for Chatham late in the frame but the visiting team couldn't do any more to bridge the gap with London.

The Nationals also outshot the Maroons 32-30.

The Maroons will look to bounce back on Sunday when they return home to take on the Nationals again at 7 p.m.
