Maroons top Kings 7-3

The Chatham Maroons defeated the Komoka Kings 7-3 on Sunday.

Chatham kicked off the game with three consecutive goals from Dallas Anderson, Maddux Rychel and a power play goal from Griffin Robinson in the first period.

The second period saw two more back-to-back goals for Chatham scored by Robinson and Evan Wells. Luc Arsenault scored the first goal for the Kings 5:25 into the period, followed quickly by a goal from Christian Kyrou.

Rychel scored his second goal of the night 7:46 into the third period, putting the Maroons in the lead by four. Carson Noble extended that lead to five with a goal at 13:03. Komoka's Dillon Ward scored the final goal of the night.

Chatham goalie Kevin Linker made 27 saves to pick up the win.

The Maroons will be facing off against the St. Mary's Lincolns on Friday. Puck drop at 7:30 p.m.
