Man charged with criminal harassment
A man is facing charges after an incident of criminal harassment.
According to police, the man was calling a woman who he knew. However, he had previously been told by police to cease all communication with her.Last night at 10:30 p.m. the 56-year-old Chatham man was located in Chatham. He was arrested and charged with criminal harassment and then transported to CKPS Headquarters. He was later released with a future court date.
Man arrested after bike theft
Police were able to locate a man who was wanted for stealing a bike this past summer.
In August, the bicycle was stolen from outside of a grocery store in Wallaceburg. The man was positively identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Friday morning the 28-year-old Walpole Island man was located in Chatham and arrested on the warrant. He was charged with theft and released from custody with a future court date.
Man arrested on warrant
In August 2019, a man was released from custody on a probation order with conditions. One of his conditions was not to attend a specific address in Chatham.
On October 9, the man attended that address but left before police arrived. A warrant for his arrest was issued and his whereabouts were unknown until he was located by police Friday night at 8:30 p.m.
The 30-year-old Chatham man was arrested on the warrant and charged with failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order. He was later released with a future court date.
Woman arrested on warrant
On September 9, 2019 a woman was released from court for the offences of theft and possession under $5,000. She was supposed to attend court on October 1 but didn't show up and warrant was issued for her arrest.
Friday night around 11 p.m. the 24-year-old Wallaceburg woman was located in Wallaceburg and arrested on the warrant. She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she was later released with a future court date.
