Maroons fall to Vipers 7-3

The Chatham Maroons were defeated by the LaSalle Vipers 7-3 on Sunday.

LaSalle kicked off the game with a goal from Kyle Walker 6:59 into the period. Chatham's Maddux Rychel answered back with a goal that was followed by a power play goal from Lasalle's Jack Bowler.

Zach Power scored the first goal of the second period for the Maroons on a power play. Bowler and Abdul Abouzeeni scored putting the Vipers in the lead by two.

In the third period, Dallas Anderson scored for the Maroons.  The Vipers received three more goals scored by Kyle Walker, Ethan Hamelin on a powerplay, and Nic Pavia on an empty net.

Chatham goalie Tiago Rocha saved 11 out of 13 shots on net, Kevin Linker saved 20 out of 24 shots on net.

The two teams will be facing off again in LaSalle on Wednesday. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
