Pair of break and enters in Wallaceburg

Police are looking for information after two separate break and enters in Wallaceburg.

First, on Saturday morning they were called to a residence on Murray Street. Sometime between Friday morning and Saturday morning, a shed had been broken into on the property.

A blue a 2002 Yamaha Warrior Quad Runner, 350cc was stolen.

That same afternoon, they responded to a call John Park Line. Sometime since Wednesday, a shed had been broken into and various tools were taken.

There are currently no suspects in either incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Two arrested for public intoxicated

Two people in Chatham-Kent were arrested Saturday night after having too much to drink.

The first incident was in Harwich Township. An officer on general patrol spotted a man sitting by the road in the area of Talbot Trail.

When the officer spoke with the man, he determined that he was too intoxicated to care for himself. The 63-year-old was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and transported to police headquarters where he was held until sober.

Then in Wallaceburg, an officer located a man in the area of Elgin Street and Selkirk Street. After talking with him, the officer decided he was too intoxicated to care for himself.

The 36-year-old was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and lodged at police headquarters until he sobered up.

Two people arrested on warrants

CK police are able to cross a pair of names off their wanted list after arresting two people who were wanted on outstanding warrants.

Saturday morning an officer on general patrol spotted a man on Queen Street in Chatham who was known to be wanted for breaching his recognizance in regards to a curfew condition.

The 52-year-old was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was held in custody pending a future court date.

Also on Saturday morning, a woman attended police headquarters to turn herself in on a warrant for facilitating in a breach.

The 33-year-old was arrested and eventually released with a future court date.

Man arrested for breaching conditions 

Saturday evening, police responded to a call on Keil Drive in Chatham.

A man was identified on scene and since he was supposed to be on house arrest, he was found to be breaching his bail conditions.

The 23-year-old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he's being held for a bail hearing.
