Police investigate collision 

Chatham-Kent police and the Major Crimes Unit are currently investigating the failure to remain at the scene of an accident.

This comes after an early morning collision in the area of Jeffrey Street and Harvey Street in Chatham. The intersection will be closed during the course of the investigation.

Break and enter in Chatham 

Friday morning police responded to a break and enter at a business on Grand Avenue in Chatham.

The unknown person entered a storage unit and several items were taken from inside. There are currently no suspects.

Break and enter in Wallaceburg 

On Friday morning, officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Bruce Street in Wallaceburg.

A garage was entered and a 125cc white and black pit bike and a 125cc red pit bike were both stolen. There are currently no suspects.

Break and enter in Romney

Police are looking for information after a theft in Romney.

They got the call Friday morning. A garage on Erie Street South had been broken into. The thief got away with a 2007 Yellow RMZ 450 dirt bike and various tools. There are currently no suspects.

Female arrested on outstanding warrant 

On Friday afternoon a woman who had an outstanding warrant for fraud and possession of stolen property turned herself in at police headquarters.

The 55-year-old was arrested and later released with a future court date.

Woman caught on bail conditions 

On Friday night, police responded to a call at a residence on Sarah Street in Thamesville. Through investigation, an officer found a woman who was failing to comply with her release conditions.

The 42-year-old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
