Ric Ocasek, the lead singer of the rock band The Cars, has passed away at the age of 75 according to TMZ.
Ocasek was found unresponsive at his Townhouse in NYC and was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday according to police.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Ocasek was the frontman and started the band The Cars in the '70s and had a string of hits including "My Best Friend's Girl," and "Good Times Roll".
In 2018, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the band.
